KauzAudio & Opera Olf – Other Planets EP // HAD020
Embark on a journey into the depths of techno with Hive Audio’s latest release, the “Other Planets EP” by KauzAudio & Opera Olf. Hailing from Zurich’s vibrant underground scene, KauzAudio, who has been performing solo since May 2023, collaborates with the emerging talent Opera Olf to deliver a compelling sonic experience.
The EP opens with “Other Planets,” a track that starts slow and groovy, creating a dark atmosphere with its eerie synthesizers and distorted vocals. The music gradually transitions into a more melodic phase, culminating in a powerful beat drop that blends the haunting elements seamlessly.
Following this, “Oh Shit,” crafted solely by KauzAudio, begins with dark, industrial drums accompanied by slight, eerie vocals. As the track progresses, the heavy drums recede into the background, making way for an electrifying beat drop filled with energetic synthesizers.
Both tracks highlight themes of darkness and underground techno, showcasing the distinctive styles of KauzAudio and Opera Olf. This EP is a testament to their prowess and creativity, making a significant mark on Zurich’s techno scene.
