Receiving a new EP by CALIPPO is always like getting a bunch of christmas presents to unwrap. The multi-instrumentalist surprises us everytime with his fresh sounding deep house and UK styled house music.
So does he on this stunning new 2 tracker. SON OF A GUN opens up the EP: A straight forward pounding house track with crispy vocals and a beat that will get your crowd go nuts on every dance floor. Punchy bass lines and hollow sub synths melt with the tracks breakdown melody in pure perfection.
The second track on the EP, GET IT ON, invites us onto a more future house drawn journey. Synth riffs and bass lines punch all the way through the hard knocking beat patterns, while they are surrounded by some subtle chosen vocal chops and 80s influenced synth stabs.
