When it comes to quality G house music you can’t come around this guy; PLATINUM DOUG. His hip-hop and urban influenced house tracks always bring a fresh breeze of modern nu disco vibes to the map.
The title track RUN FOR COVER is the best example why you should always have some Platinum Doug tracks on your memory sticks: The clubby beat patterns and hard knocking chunky baseline invite your crowd to go nuts from the first few bars. His signature hip-hop vocal chops can’t be missing though, nor a good portion of synth stabs and subtle pad chords in the break downs.
DO IT LIKE THIS is the perfect sing along party banger. The up-filtering vocal choirs melt with a unique analogue synth base line to build an epic base in the break down, before the track all of a sudden drops with some a punchy four to the floor kick drum and some well sorted hi-hat fragments.
Definitely an artist to watch out in 2015.
