Terms of Use

Terms of Use – Member Area

Version 1.0 – last updated 9 October 2026 – Deutsche Version

1. Provider and scope

The member area on sirupmusic.com is operated by Sirup Music GmbH, Lättenwiesenstrasse 3, 8152 Opfikon ZH, Switzerland (“Sirup”, “we”). These terms apply to the free account and to the use of the member area, including the Demo Drop. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Account

You must be at least 14 years old to create an account. The newsletter, SMS messages, personalisation and the Demo Drop are available from the age of 16. You must give correct information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activities under your account; tell us immediately if you suspect misuse. One person may hold one account. You can close your account at any time in your profile. Accounts whose e-mail address is not confirmed within 30 days are deleted.

3. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the member area, attempt to gain unauthorised access, disturb its operation, use automated tools to register or upload, or upload unlawful content or content that infringes the rights of third parties.

4. Demo Drop

You can submit your own music (MP3, maximum 20 MB) through the member area. By submitting you confirm that you are the creator or hold all necessary rights (including to any samples and collaborations) and that your submission does not infringe third-party rights. You keep all rights to your music. You grant us a non-exclusive, free right to store the file and to listen to and evaluate it internally, only for the purpose of assessing your submission and contacting you. We are not obliged to listen to, answer, release or sign any submission, and we cannot promise a response time. We do not share your demo with third parties without your agreement. Rejected demos are deleted after 90 days. A release or contract exists only if both sides sign a separate written agreement.

5. Messages

We send e-mails that are necessary for the account (for example confirmation, password reset, notices about your demo). Newsletter, SMS and personalised messages are sent only if you have said “Yes” to them; you can change this at any time in your profile.

6. Availability and changes

We provide the member area free of charge and without a guarantee of constant availability. We may change, restrict or discontinue features, and we may block or delete accounts that violate these terms.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for intent and gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence, indirect damages and loss of data is excluded, except where liability cannot be excluded by law. Please keep copies of everything you upload.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on this page applies; in case of material changes we will inform you in the member area or by e-mail.

9. Applicable law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Opfikon/Zürich, Switzerland, subject to mandatory statutory places of jurisdiction. Questions: contact@sirupmusic.com.
