Protecting your personal data is important to us. This policy explains which data Sirup Music GmbH (“Sirup”, “we”) processes when you visit sirupmusic.com and what rights you have. We act in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Visiting this website
When you open our website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data in server log files (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system, referrer URL). We use this data to operate the site securely and to fix errors (legitimate interest). Log files are deleted after a short period, in general after no more than 30 days.
3. Contact and demo submissions
If you write to us by e-mail or through a contact form, we process your name, e-mail address and the content of your message to answer your request. We keep it until the matter is settled and for 6 months afterwards, unless we are legally obliged to keep it longer. Demos should be sent as links (e.g. SoundCloud or Dropbox); they are used only to evaluate your submission.
4. Fan data, newsletter and SMS
Fans of Sirup Music were previously able to register on our former fan platform. The data they entered there (name, e-mail address, mobile number, date of birth, gender, city and country, language, linked social-media IDs and information on past newsletters and SMS) is stored by us. We use it to send news about our artists and releases by e-mail or SMS only if you have consented, and we may select recipients by region. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, using the unsubscribe link in each message or by e-mail to contact@sirupmusic.com. Unsubscribed addresses and numbers are kept on a block list so that you are not contacted again. Other data is deleted on request, or after two years without activity.
5. Cookies
This website uses technically necessary cookies. Other cookies (for example for statistics or embedded content) are only set after your consent through the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time and block cookies in your browser settings; the website may then not work fully.
6. External links and embedded services
Our pages link to streaming and social platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. Once you follow such a link, the provider of the platform processes your data under its own privacy policy. We have no influence on this processing.
7. Recipients and transfer abroad
We pass personal data on only to service providers that process it on our behalf (for example hosting and e-mail or SMS delivery) and only as far as necessary. Some providers are located outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA, for example in the USA. In that case we make sure an adequate level of protection exists, for example through standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to contact@sirupmusic.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
9. Security
We protect your data with suitable technical and organisational measures, for example encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access.
10. Changes
We may update this policy at any time. The version published on this website applies.
11. Applicable law and jurisdiction
This policy and the processing of data are governed by Swiss law, in particular the Federal Act on Data Protection. Where the GDPR applies, its provisions apply in addition. The place of jurisdiction is Opfikon/Zürich, Switzerland, subject to mandatory statutory places of jurisdiction.
