Dave202 & BATEZ – Eisbär [Sirup Music – SIR1308]
Everything is white. Everywhere is cold. Your breathe condensates, your hunger increases. Your fur coat is as white as the ice surrounding you, and your only worries are to find something to eat to survive the freezing days. Where you live there is no such thing as social rules, hate, prejudice, stress; it’s only you and the frost surrounding you, the place you call home, the place that calls you king. You’re a polar bear, you’re alone, you’re free.
Martin Eicher, singer of the legendary swiss band GRAUZONE, fantasized about it in one of the most iconic anthems of the late XX century, always associated with the NDW trend that marked the culture and the sound of the ’80: EISBÄR. Eisbär is indeed the german word for polar bear, literally translated as Ice Bear.
The meaning of this tune is powerful as the impact that had on the European culture, and the remix we are proudly presenting is finally ready to do the same. Our label-buddy DAVE202 teamed up with the talented producer BATEZ to give you one of the best releases of 2020. The modern vibe of this track renewed completely the sound of the original song without losing its meaning or its power, and gave a new life to a milestone like this. Now grab your headphones, enjoy this gem, and sing it, SCREAM IT, untill you lose your voice.
