Single · Melodic House & Techno
Producer Matthew Dixon transports listeners on a cinematic journey through a living, breathing forest with “Beyond the Fern”. The track, built on vibrant synths, swirling pads, emotional leads, and rich vocal atmospheres, evolves with purpose, balancing serenity with bursts of energy. Chill yet powerful, “Beyond the Fern” explores the unseen layers of nature and emotion through sound.
Inspired by the mystical world of FernGully, Matthew Dixon weaves a deeper narrative into the music, where beauty and darkness coexist, and nature ultimately triumphs. The hypnotic lead melodies act as a voice for the forest itself, rising against a dark, cinematic bass drop that symbolises conflict and rebirth. “Beyond the Fern” isn’t just a song; it’s an emotional expedition through what’s felt but not always seen, and a powerful reminder of the healing energy that music and nature can share.
