Swiss DJ and producer Daniel Portman has built the kind of career most progressive house artists can only dream of. Emerging in the early 2000s, he began touring internationally soon after and quickly scored his first Beatport Top 10 hits. Since then, Portman has remained a cornerstone of the progressive house community, continuously delivering powerful productions and unforgettable DJ sets around the globe.
Coming from a blue-collar background, Daniel has never lost touch with his roots. He understands life’s struggles and deeply values the privilege of living his dream — creating music, traveling the world, and connecting with people through sound. It’s this appreciation that inspired his latest track, “Blue Collar.”
The new single is a club-ready progressive house anthem for everyone who loves it deep, melodic, and uplifting. Driven by infectious beats, spicy, percussive dub stabs, and a stadium-sized melody, “Blue Collar” takes listeners on a journey — from introspective and dreamy moments to a hard-hitting drop that reignites the dancefloor.
“Blue Collar” celebrates determination, passion, and the rhythm of everyday life — a true progressive house gem from one of Switzerland’s most respected electronic artists.
