Label regular Drilla, whose rework of Saltwater found support from names including Nora En Pure, returns with another fresh interpretation of a dance music classic. A DJ in Poland for over a decade, Drilla has developed a knack for reinventing timeless records through a modern melodic lens.
Joining forces with Daniel Portman – the Swiss producer known for his emotionally charged melodic house sound, releases on labels including Enormous Tunes and support across the global club scene – the duo reimagine Café del Mar, one of the most iconic trance records of all time. Originally released by Energy 52 in 1993, the legendary anthem became a defining symbol of Balearic spirit, emotional clubbing and Ibiza sunset culture.
The result is a highly infectious, full-energy cut that preserves the emotional essence of the original while injecting it with a fresh modern pulse designed for today’s dancefloors.
