Carlos Barbero – The Maze / Mad Retreat //
Hive Audio welcomes CARLOS BARBERO with his label debut, a 2-track EP including THE MAZE (w/ SevenEver) and MAD RETREAT (w/ Illinois); A sonic voyage that will tingle your fibres in places you didn’t even know they exist.
The Panamá based DJ/producer spent his teenage years developing his talent while submerged in his home studio and gaining experience on the dance floor. He enjoys mixing elements from groovy house, melodic techno and the Afro Caribbean roots of his own country to create a unique sound with deep bass lines and catchy melodies.
For his brand-new project he teamed up with mesmerizing vocal talents SEVENEVER (on “The Maze”) and ILLINOIS (on “Mad Retreat”), both of them acclaimed artists on their own, to guide the fans of deep and dark grooves through realms of captivating melodies and pulsating rhythms. Their mysteriously strong vocals perfectly adhere on Carlos’ soundtrack creating masterpieces of collective brilliance. [Hive Audio – HA131]
