With WALDSTÄTTEN / UNTERSEE, Swiss producer DOROTHY pays a sonic tribute to historic Swiss landmarks and landscapes.
“Waldstätten” was a canton of the Helvetic Republic from 1798 to 1803, combining the territories of the founding cantons of the Old Swiss Confederacy.
“Untersee” reflects the calm beauty of the Lower Lake Constance. It’s the smaller of the two lakes that together form Lake Constance (Bodensee). The boundary between Switzerland and Germany runs through it. The lake surrounds several islands, the largest being Reichenau Island.
Together, the two tracks capture a sense of space, stillness and emotion through dorothy’s distinctive take on Melodic Techno. A journey through Switzerland, told one melody at a time.
